About this website
Craggy Crawlspace is a marketing and referral website for crawl space encapsulation in Asheville, NC and the surrounding area. It connects people who need crawl space encapsulation with one local, independent provider. Craggy Crawlspace is a trade name of SignalBird Digital. It is not a contractor, tradesperson or provider of crawl space encapsulation, and holds no contractor's license. The work described on this website is performed by an independent, locally owned and operated business, which is responsible for its own staff, licensing, insurance, permits, pricing, scheduling and workmanship. By using this website you accept these terms and the Disclaimer.
What happens to your request
When you call the number on this website or send the contact form, you ask for your request to be passed to one independent provider so that they can respond to you, and it is passed to that provider only. Craggy Crawlspace does not promise that a provider is available for every request, in every area, or at any particular time. Any agreement for work is made directly between you and the provider. Call us or send the form, and a local technician will call you back to discuss your house.
Licenses, insurance and credentials
This website makes no statement about any provider's license, insurance, bonding or certification; the provider is responsible for its own. Confirm that anyone you hire holds what NC, your county and your town require for crawl space encapsulation, with the provider and with the licensing authority, before work begins.
How this website is paid
Craggy Crawlspace is paid by providers for the opportunity to respond to requests, at a fee fixed in advance. The fee does not depend on whether you hire the provider or on what you pay, and Craggy Crawlspace takes no share of any price. You pay this website nothing and it adds no fee to your project.
Estimates, prices and payment
Every estimate, quote and price comes from the provider. Craggy Crawlspace does not set, collect, process or guarantee any price, deposit or payment term. You pay the provider directly.
Scheduling, access and the work itself
Appointments, changes to them, cancellation terms and any fee for a missed appointment are set by the provider you hire. So are property protection, cleanup, and what the provider needs from you on the day, such as access to the work area and the location of buried utilities. Ask before the appointment.
Permits and compliance
Some projects need a permit or an inspection. Obtaining them, and complying with local, state and federal rules for the work, is the responsibility of the provider who performs it.
Warranties
Craggy Crawlspace gives no warranty on labour, materials or results. Any warranty is offered by the provider, on the provider's terms. Ask for it in writing before work begins.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, Craggy Crawlspace is not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship, delays, property damage or representations of any independent provider, and its liability arising from your use of this website is limited to direct loss. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Disputes and governing law
A dispute about the price, quality, timing or performance of work is between you and the provider who did it. A concern about this website itself, such as how your request was handled, can be raised using the contact details below. These terms, and any claim about your use of this website, are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, except where the law of the place you live gives you a protection that cannot be waived.
Privacy Policy
What this website collects
This policy covers Craggy Crawlspace (craggycrawlspace.com), which decides how the information below is used. It receives what you choose to give it, in two ways. Through the contact form: your name, phone number, email address, the area you are in, and your description of the work. Through a call to the number on this website: your phone number, the time and length of the call, a recording of the call, and a transcript of it. This website sets no cookies and runs no scripts; nothing leaves your browser except what you type into the form and, on the service areas and contact pages, what Google's map receives (below).
The service areas and contact pages on this website show a map supplied by Google. Loading either page loads the map from Google, which may set its own cookies and receives your IP address and browser details under Google's privacy policy. No other page on this website carries it.
Calls are recorded
Calls to the number on this website are routed through a call-tracking line, recorded and transcribed. A spoken notice at the start of the call says so, before you are connected, and the person who answers for the provider is told the same before the call is put through. If you do not want to be recorded, end the call and use the contact form instead. Recordings are made for three reasons: so that the provider who receives your request can hear what you asked for; to confirm that a request was genuine; and to settle any question between this website and a provider about a request that was passed on.
How your information is used
To pass your request to the one provider who will respond to it; to contact you about that request; to confirm that requests are genuine and were handled; to settle a billing question with the provider; and to meet legal obligations. It is not used to send you marketing.
Who receives it
The one provider who will respond to your request receives your contact details, your description of the work, and the recording of your call, and may use them only to respond to that request and do the work you agree with them; it may not sell, share or reuse them. The services this website runs on receive your information in order to work: the form service the contact form posts to, which stores submissions; the call-tracking service, which stores call records, recordings and transcripts; and the hosting service, which keeps standard server logs. The people who run this website can access it. A request or a recording, with the details that identify you removed, may be shown to a prospective provider as evidence that requests made through this website are real. It is disclosed beyond that only where the law requires it, or to a successor if this website is sold or transferred.
How this website is paid for your request
The provider who receives your request pays Craggy Crawlspace for the opportunity to respond to it. Your request goes to that one provider because you ask for it, when you call or press "Send request", and to no other business: it is never sold, rented or given to any other business, list or marketer. The services and people listed under "Who receives it" handle it only to make this website work. Some state privacy laws treat a transfer of personal information for payment as a sale unless the person directs it; whether a law treats this transfer so is for that law to decide, and you may tell us at any time not to pass on any future request of yours; see "Your privacy choices".
How long it is kept
Your request, the call recording and the transcript are kept for up to 12 months after you made the request, then deleted or stripped of the details that identify you, unless a legal duty or an open question about that request requires keeping them longer. The provider keeps what it received under its own records practice, for the work you agree with it.
Your privacy choices
Your information is never sold. Anyone may ask what this website holds about them, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or ask that no future request of theirs be passed to any provider, subject to any legal duty to keep a record. Write to hello@craggycrawlspace.com, or use the contact details below, and say what you are asking for; you may be asked to confirm that the request is yours. Each request is answered within 45 days. When information is deleted at your request, the provider that received it is told to delete it too and to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have more privacy rights; ask at hello@craggycrawlspace.com.
