Contact Craggy Crawlspace
Is there a musty smell, standing water or a torn ground cover under your floor in Asheville? Call us or use the form, and a technician from our team here calls you back to talk through your house. Asking for a quote through this site is free.
What to tell us about your crawl space
Tell us what you've noticed, roughly where the house is, how we get under it and how soon it needs a look. A few lines on each is plenty.
- What you've noticed. A musty smell indoors, water on the dirt floor, or damp insulation sagging off the joists.
- Where the house is. The town or neighborhood is enough to start.
- How we get in. Say where the access door is, outside or through a closet, and whether there's room to crawl once you're past it.
- How soon. Water under the house today is a different call from a smell you'd like checked this season.
If there's an old polyethylene ground cover on the dirt, tell us if it's torn, missing in places or pulled back from the walls. That plastic belongs down whether the crawl space is vented or unvented, so its shape tells us a good deal before we ever open the door.
If there's water under the house right now
Say so at the top of your request. Standing water near wiring, a furnace or ductwork changes what we do first, and we'd rather know that before anyone opens the access door.
Don't crawl in to look if the water's deep or anything electrical sits in it. What you can see from the doorway is enough for us to plan the visit, and we'll take it from there.
Towns we work in
We work under houses in Asheville, Woodfin, Weaverville, Swannanoa and Black Mountain. We're also in Candler, Canton and Waynesville, and in Arden, Fairview, Fletcher, Mills River, Hendersonville and Mountain Home. Every town we cover is on our service areas page.
Tell us what's going on under your floor
You don't need to know what's wrong down there. A smell, a soft spot in the floor or a puddle by the access door is enough to start with.
